Celebrate Blessings is Celebration Church’s outreach to the homeless in our community.

“Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.”

WHAT WE’RE ABOUT:

As Christians, we are able to share the gospel and build relationships by making Jesus Christ the center of those relationships’s with the lost and hurting citizens of New Orleans. Many of us have suffered some type of hardship.  With that in mind, we take to the streets to intentionally serve, love, and give to some of the most severely affected by the storms of life, the homeless and poverty stricken citizens of New Orleans.  We realize to gain influence in any person’s life it is essential to first and foremost build a relationship with them through trust, communication, and transparency.   The ministry model that we use is to meet basic physical needs, build relationships, and share Christ’s love

WHO AND HOW DO WE SERVE?

First and foremost, we serve Jesus Christ.  But we also exist to serve each other, the homeless, the hungry, the hurting, the poor, and the forgotten in our community. We serve not only by providing meals and other things, but also in love by investing in lasting relationships.
We are currently looking for the following donations:

Summer Needs:

  • New Socks (Men’s and Women’s)
  • Bottled Water
  • Men’s Deodorant
  • Snacks (fruit cups, Chips, Crackers, etc.)

Other Needs:

  • Bibles (Standard and Large Print)
  • Men’s underwear (medium, large, & extra large)
  • Women’s panties (size 5,6,7,8, &9)
  • T-shirts (medium, large, extra large, & 2xlarge)
  • Sandwich Bread
  • Peanut Butter
  • Jelly
  • Fruit cups
  • Chips/Crackers
  • Napkins
  • Brown bags
  • Sandwich bags
  • Plastic spoons
  • Baby Wipes/Hand Sanitizer
  • Backpacks
  • New hygiene items (toothbrush, tooth paste, comb, brush, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, deodorant, q-tips, & washcloths)
  • Canned Goods (with pop-top only)
  • Gas Cards (for Team transportation)
  • Gift Cards to purchase specific needs for those to whom we minister
  • Gift Cards to help pay for downtown parking
