Connecting Point – April 4, 2024

I'm always blown away by what the Lord does through His people every Easter, but this past Easter Weekend was exceptional at the Celebration Church Campuses. To begin with, our people did a great job of inviting people. We had 2000 more people this year than we did for Easter services in 2023, and at least 292 of them visited Celebration for the very first time. Secondly, our people did a great job of volunteering and serving to help us welcome and minister to all of our Easter guests. Our Good Friday and Easter Saturday and Sunday Worship Teams and Worship sets were excellent. And God's Spirit's showed up in powerful ways in our worship services, touching hearts and changing lives. And at the conclusion of our Worship services we had 237 people pray to receive Jesus as their Savior, another 184 people recommitted themselves to living for the Lord and serving Him. And 37 people took the step of baptism. It was a phenomenal weekend at Celebration. Here are a few testimonies from Easter.

  • "It was such an incredibly moving service, that several times I was moved to tears." - Military Man

  • "I came with all kinds of problems on my mind, and left with lots of joy in my heart." - Young Lady

  • "This is the best Easter service that I've ever attended." - Middle-Aged Lady

  • "On Good Friday I gave my addiction to the Lord, and have sensed a newfound freedom over these last couple of days." - Young Man

  • "I now have Jesus in my heart" - Little Girl

You may have heard similar testimonies from people you invited to our Easter services. We would love to hear those testimonies. Take a moment to share with us any testimonies you saw or heard from other people about our Easter services. You can send them to

By the way, this week is a good time to follow up with the people who came with you to our Easter services. Contact them and ask them to give you their feedback as to what they experienced at Celebration. Then encourage them to join us in the coming weeks for Free Donuts Sunday (April 7) and other special events happening at your Campus. You may also want to invite them to join you at Celebration at City Park Night (May 3) or join you in a Life Group, so they can meet other Celebration members.

Also, go ahead and contact the people you invited who didn't attend any of our Easter services, and ask them to consider viewing our Easter service. Almost everyone wants to find more purpose or meaning for their lives, and that's what our Easter services were all about. They can also view one of our Easter services at or on our Campus Facebook Groups or YouTube Channels.

MAKE LIFE COUNT is the title of our sermon series that we began on Easter Weekend, a series that will extend through the month of April. In this series we're going to be learning from the life of Jesus and from the writings of the Apostle Paul how to live a purposeful and productive life. Proverbs 9:6 reads, "Leave your impoverished confusion and live! Walk up the street to a life with meaning." Be sure to join us this coming Sunday as we really begin to understand what it means to live meaningful lives, making a difference for good and for God in the world around us.

Finally, let me encourage you to be faithful and generous in your giving as we enter the month of April. When God's people are faithful and generous in their giving, the Lord blesses them in many ways, and enables them also to be a blessing to others. One of the reasons we saw so many people experience the transforming power of Jesus in their lives is because of the generosity of God's people. If you want to give or even catch up on your giving in 2024, go to And remember, we can never outgive God (2 Corinthians 9:6-8).

I thank God for your prayers, faith, generosity and ministry to others.
