Jesus - “Jesus came and told His disciples, ‘I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
Difference Makers are people who are determined to make a difference in this world for Jesus. One way they do this is by sharing the Gospel with others. This is what happened to the believers of the early church. Luke writes “The believers who had fled Jerusalem went everywhere preaching the Good News about Jesus. Philip, for example, went to the city of Samaria and told the people there about the Messiah.” (Acts 8:4-5) The Lord wants every Christian to be a godly and vibrant evangelist and disciple-maker. Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” (Mark 16:15)
The Lord wants His people to share the Gospel with others because it is at the heart of His mission for the world. He desires that all people come to know Him and experience the love, grace, and salvation He offers to us through Jesus. As followers of Christ, it is our privilege and responsibility to share the message of hope with those around us. It is one way that we become Difference Makers in the world. Sharing the Gospel with others is one way to express our love for God and for them. When we share the Gospel, we are pointing people to the only way of eternal life. We are inviting them to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to experience the transformation that comes from knowing Him. We are also proclaiming the truth that sets people free from sin, guilt, and condemnation. That is truly making a difference.
Sharing the Gospel benefits Difference Makers as individuals, in our small groups, and in our church. It deepens our faith and strengthens our witness. As we share the Gospel with others, we are challenged to live out our faith more fully, to be authentic and intentional in our relationships, and to be bold and courageous in our witness. It unites us with other believers who share the same mission and passion for Jesus Christ. May we always be faithful and bold in sharing the message of hope with those around us, trusting that God will use our efforts to draw people to Himself and to fulfill His mission for the world.

Each time you read over the verse, ask the Lord to help you recognize and to act on the opportunities He has given you to share the Gospel with others. If you are leading your family through this devotion, memorize Matthew 28:18-20 as a family and pray before each meal today that God would give each family member opportunities to share the Gospel with others today.
